How I Cleared Up My Eczema: Alicia’s Story

Eczema is a lifelong struggle. To all of you out there with all variations of atopic dermatitis or chronic acne (to name but a few chronic skin issues), I feel you. It’s frustrating when your skin simply won’t cooperate when you’re giving it so much attention and care.

I can never rid myself of eczema; there’s no real cure for it. However, I’ve learned to manage my flare-ups, from the small ones to the big, persistent ones. Smaller episodes clear up pretty easily with the right care, but there are times that the flare-up is particularly raging and simply won’t go away.

This past fall, I had what I call “angry skin.” I had been testing all kinds of products, and some of the formulas were a bit drying. On top of that, I wasn’t sleeping much. I know better than to scratch my skin relentlessly (once I do, the scarring lasts way longer), so I kept my nails short and tried to think about anything other than the intense itchiness. However, this was the kind of flare-up where it didn’t matter if I never touched a finger to my skin — the swelling was there, the bumps were there, and the rash was there with all its angry redness.

To get this flare-up under control, the first thing I did was take a diluted bleach bath. This is something that you can read about on the American Academy of Dermatology and the National Eczema Association as well! Basically, the bleach can help kill the bacteria that causes the itchiness, and it’s safe because the bleach is so diluted. I used about 1/3 cup of household bleach that has 5-8% sodium hypochlorite in a full tub of lukewarm water — to put that in context, a standard US tub fills up with about 40 gallons of water. That’s 1/3 cup of bleach in 40 gallons of water. I then soaked in this very diluted lukewarm bleach bath (neck down only, never submering my face) for about ten minutes. After draining, I rinsed off with clean lukewarm water, then towel-dried, not so my skin was completely dry but just on this side of damp.

For my face, I first applied the Wild Dew Treatment Essence because, when my skin is dehydrated, it can get even more finicky, and the Wild Dew Treatment Essence sinks so quickly into skin and really helps to quench deep skin thirst immediately. I followed that with a generous 4-5 pumps of the Glass Skin Refining Serum, which really helps calm and soothe my skin — the Glass Skin Refining Serum contains healing and nourishing ingredients like madecassoside and the peach extract. Of course, the hyaluronic acid and niacinamide in the serum also help hydrate and brighten skin (and I love that too!), but, when my skin is acting up, it’s those soothing benefits that provide an almost instant relief for me.

Then, I squeezed a dime-sized amount of the KBeauty Rescue Balm onto my hands and pat-pat-patted it into my skin. It’s this incredibly hydrating do-it-all balm that really helps provide this feeling of relief as it just seems to coax skin into calming down and cooperating. It really is my rescue-product for all sorts of issues — chapped lips, hang nails and rough cuticles, cracked heels, you name it.

For my body, I used a baby lotion, Mustela, and slathered it liberally everywhere. On the super dry and itchy spots, I applied an extra layer of the KBeauty Rescue Balm.

My skin felt so much better; my rashes looked so much calmer; and I repeated this ritual a few more times, leaving a couple days in-between. And voila, my eczema flare-up calmed all the way down.

I have a lot of little rituals and go-to methods when it comes to eczema, so I’ll be sure to share more! I’m not a dermatologist or a doctor, but I am an esthetician and, more importantly, someone who’s dealt with eczema her whole life, so while you shouldn’t take this as medical advice, I do hope my experience is helpful to some of you!

What are some of your favorite skincare hacks? Let me know below; I love hearing from you!

As always, cheers to radiance!

Peach Party Tour: Alicia’s Diary

My dream came true  I got to meet you in person!

Dear Peaches,

Seven years ago, I started Peach & Lily as an e-commerce business. Being a digitally-native brand has its perks, but the one thing I always wanted was to be able to meet you in person — to see your faces, talk to you face-to-face about skincare (and whatever else!), share laughs and stories, and connect personally.

That’s why, as we created our Peach & Lily Collection, quietly working on these skincare products for years, I knew I wanted our collection to help us make personal connections with you. One of the keys to that was making it easily accessible to you, which is why we worked with Ulta to get our collection into 250 of their stores.

And now I’m so thrilled and humbled to say THANK YOU!!! You’ve shown so much incredible love for our products since we launched in Ulta in August that our brand has been selected to be launched in almost all Ulta Beauty stores across the US  we’re now in over 1,100+ Ulta stores! I’m beyond thrilled that our products will be all the more easily accessible to you, and I feel so incredibly honored that we can care for your skin. Thank you.

One of the greatest joys about our Ulta Beauty launch last year was embarking on our epic #PeachPartyTour — remember that?

I wanted to meet as many of you as I could in person, so we made Peach Party stops in cities all over the country. I visited a hundred Ulta Beauty stores because I wanted to hear from you personally face-to-face! One of my favorite folders in my camera is of the pictures I took while on this tour. Every time I look through those photos, I remember all the conversations we had, from family and careers to life stories and food to, obviously, skincare! I truly met amazing people, and some of you even came to visit us in NYC.

You even brought your little ones (and let me hold them!) and took different shifts at work to come hang out with us.

We loved seeing how our community comes from so many different age groups, ethnicities, and careers  including a skincare blogger and an NFL player shown in this picture. It’s been such a joy to form so many new connections and friendships.

The love you showed us, as well as the hugs, flowers, cards, cakes, and hand-made signs you shared, will forever be treasures of mine and our whole team at Peach & Lily. Hopping from city to city and sleeping in what seemed like a million different roadside hotels were physically draining, but Ed (my incredible husband who also makes the best road trip buddy, I’ve learned!) and I remained exuberant throughout the whole tour because, with each Peach Party stop, we were so energized with your love and support.

Some of you even recorded and made an entire video for us to keep as a memento of our trip, which warmed our hearts so much.

Seriously, our Peach community is made up of the most inspiring and warmest people. I love you Peaches so much and am so thankful for each and every one of you, and I hope to have many, many more events in the future where we can all come together again.

I want to include every last photo from the trip on our blog, but to not make this an endless scroll of images, we’ll just share these handful of photos, but I’ll forever be carrying all of you with me, both in my heart and on my phone to keep these precious memories close.

The Peach Party Tour may be paused for now, but we don’t want to stop connecting with you just because we’re not currently on the road! Share photos of yourself with our products or of your shelfies with the tag #PeachAndMe, and we’ll find you on Instagram and connect with you there! To celebrate, at the end of April, we’ll pick someone using the hashtag #PeachandMe and bring you to the Ulta store nearest you carrying our products, and I’ll personally come to you for a personalized in-store mini facial. I’ll also help you pick out the products perfect for your skin.

And, as always, here at Peach HQ, one of our favorite things is to hear from you, so be sure to keep DMing us, commenting on our photos, and tagging us. We’re always so happy to read what you have to say, and we’ll write back.

Thank you for being a part of our journey — and more importantly, for allowing us to be a part of your skincare journey. We can’t wait to meet more of you.

I Went to LA for the Weekend, and Here’s How I Cared for My Skin.

Hello from your resident Pibuu writer!

I flew out to Los Angeles from New York this past weekend, and I thought, Hey, this will be a good chance for me to do that pre-flight, post-flight routine! — which was great in theory but, truth be told, didn’t actually happen — but I am still here writing this post.

I went to JFK from the office and didn’t have time to do a pre-flight routine before I headed out because, well, work. The MTA was delayed (no surprise), so I got to the airport late, and there were only two TSA lanes open, and I just barely made it to my gate and on my flight because people kindly let me cut and go through security first. That meant I had zero time to do a pre-flight routine.

I landed at one a.m. in LA and was too busy getting my puppy snuggles after months of being away from my dog, which meant … I did not do a post-flight routine … though I did do a full routine in the morning, which was only, like, five hours later — that’s still technically a post-flight routine!

In the morning, I started as I usually do with a shower, cleansing my face using Glossier’s Milky Jelly Cleanser (my holy grail cleanser). Once out of the shower, I towelled dry, then spritzed Lagom’s Mist Toner liberally over my face — I’m not usually the biggest fan of mists, but I actually really love this one. The particles aren’t too fine, and the toner is cooling and hydrating, so my skin feels nice and balanced and hydrated.

After liberally spritzing my face, I patted the toner into my skin then went on to sheet masking. A week or so ago, I’d done Abib’s Gummy Sheet Mask Milk Sticker and absolutely loved it — it’s a mask that sticks to your face and has been soaked not in an essence but in a cream, which makes it super hydrating and nourishing — so I opted for Abib’s Gummy Sheet Mask Heartleaf Sticker. It was hydrating and calming, just what my skin needed after a cross-country flight (and no skincare routines to speak of), and, because it sticks so closely to the face, I was able to cook some breakfast and feed my puppies bits of egg and ham while my skin soaked in the soothing essence.

I always make sure to follow any sheet masking session with the rest of my skincare — I’m currently using the Peach & Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum and the Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief as treatments. After watching Alicia, my boss, demonstrate her facial massage technique at the launch event for our Power Calm Hydrating Cleanser a few weeks ago, I’ve been taking the time to give myself a short facial massage every time I apply the Glass Skin Refining Serum.

Finally, I finished my “post-flight” routine by sealing everything in with the Peach & Lily Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream, which always leaves my skin dewy but also matte, and, of course, followed that with a sunscreen I’m currently testing.

LA is drier than New York, and I always feel like I’m kind of shriveling up when I’m there. It was also super windy in my parents’ neck of LA, so, to compensate for that extra dryness, I also did a hydrating sheet mask every day I was in town (it was only four days) to make sure my skin got the hydration and nourishment it needed. I took the Peach & Lily 3 Sheet Mask Set with me because I wanted sheet masks with a lighter, refreshing, hydrating essence — sometimes, if I do too many sheet masks with a heavier essence, my skin will start to break out.

As usual, I always followed my sheet masks with the Glass Skin Refining Serum, Great Barrier Relief, Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream, and a sunscreen. The daily sheet masking really helped keep my combination skin hydrated and healthy; I don’t know that my skin has ever been this soft before (not counting after an intensive facial).

Before my red-eye back to New York, I again … did not do a pre-flight routine; it was more important to get as many puppy cuddles as I could.

I also did not do a post-flight routine once I got to my apartment in Brooklyn at six a.m., collapsing in bed instead for a short nap before getting ready for work. Later in the day, though, at the office, I went through my routine — cleansing with the Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser, toning with our Good Acids Toner, and doing one of our Original Glow sheet masks, which helped reset, calm, and nourish my tired skin after an exhausting red-eye.

As usual, I followed up the sheet mask with the Glass Skin Refining Serum (applied with a short facial massage), the Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream, and another sunscreen I’m currently testing, and my skin has been the happiest it’s been after traveling — so I suppose the point of all this is that, sometimes, it’s hard to do your pre- and post-flight routines because of life and because your flight lands at a terrible hour, and that’s okay. No one here’s going to shame you for not being obsessive about your pre- and post-flight routines. Just make sure to do them as soon as you’re able and to take into account the environment of wherever you are or will be, so your skin stays healthy, hydrated, and happy!

Spring is almost here.

It’s coming; we can feel it in the air.

Spring.

Daylight savings has brought us more daylight, so we’re not necessarily leaving work in darkness, giving us extra light to enjoy our waking hours. The cold is on its way out, taking its accompanying dryness with it, and there’s starting to be more moisture in the air. Flower buds are showing on trees and bushes.

The official start to spring is still a week away, but, because the weather has been sunny and almost spring-y here in New York, we’ve of course been thinking about transitioning our skincare from winter to spring. We don’t think we’re quite at the point where we can start swapping out products because there are still cold spells hitting us, but we thought we’d at least start thinking spring.

And how better to do that than by thinking of products that make us think of spring when we’re using them?

Even in warmer, not-as-dry weather, cleansing should still be gentle.

Cleansing should always be gentle no matter the weather. The Peach & Lily Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser has chamomile and camellia extracts that soothe and calm skin while cleansing away impurities and dirt and even light makeup. With the light, natural, slightly herbal scent of chamomile and the brighter notes of camellia, the cleanser helps calm your mood as you cleanse your face, hopefully leaving you feeling as good as your skin feels.

Exfoliate! Dead skin still needs sloughing away in warmer months.

Clear away that dull, winter skin! To embrace spring fully, try out Femmue’s Flower Infused Fine Peel. Exfoliation is provided by finely ground camellia flowers, and the wash-off mask is filled with other hydrating, soothing ingredients like aloe extract, hyaluronic acid, and centella asiatica extract to leave your skin feeling soft and rejuvenated. The natural, bright scent of flowers is also sure to brighten your mood as you gently massage this mask over your skin and slough away roughness.

Continue to balance and hydrate skin.

Just because there is more moisture in the air doesn’t mean you should stop focusing on hydrating your skin! May Coop’s Raw Sauce is a particularly great toner/essence to balance your skin after cleansing and drench it with hydration. Slightly thicker in texture, the Raw Sauce is a waterless toner/essence, made up of 93% acer mono syrup, which also brings its pleasantly sweet but not overbearing scent to the formula.

The Raw Sauce is particularly appropriate for spring because the acer mono syrup used in this Raw Sauce is harvested in May!

Keep protecting your skin from environmental stressors.

The Ariul Berry Vital Daily Defense Serum is 20% chokeberry extract, and chokeberries are rich in antioxidants and vitamins. Boosted with hydrating and nourishing ingredients like glycerin, centella asiatica extract, allantoin, and various other berry extracts, this serum helps fight free radical damage and provides a defense against environmental stressors. It has a bright berry scent and a creamy gel texture that just melts into skin, leaving a smooth, bouncy finish.

Sheet mask!

You’re not surprised to hear us say this, of course. These Ice Cream Sheet Masks from Peach Slices feature berry extracts and milk protein extracts to help soften and nourish skin, while providing skin with antioxidants and beneficial ingredients like licorice root extract, ginger root extract, and green tea leaf extract to help nourish, brighten, and soothe skin. The bright berry scents are naturally provided by the ingredients and are sure to help perk you up as your skin is replenished and hydrated.

When It Comes to Inflammation, Calm, Exfoliate, and Hydrate.

Let’s talk about inflammation.

Inflammation is our body’s defense against infection, and it’s a natural and, even, healthy response by our body’s immune systems to the presence of bacteria, viruses, and other potential contaminants. Inflammation helps our bodies heal from infections, wounds, and other kinds of tissue damage as it helps our bodies repair themselves. Put short, inflammation happens when our immune systems are triggered or stressed.

That doesn’t always mean inflammation is good, though. When our immune system is overstimulated or in a constant state of stimulation, that can result in chronic inflammation, which leads to other deeper, longer-lasting problems like eczema, dermatitis, and rosacea. Inflammation also plays a role in acne.

Before we get deeper into what inflammation does to skin, though, let’s answer the basic question: what exactly causes inflammation?

When our immune systems detect a problem, the many, many cells in our body participate in a complex system that includes our arteries enlarging to increase blood flow and our capillaries become more permeable for fluids and proteins to get through easily. Our bodies also release these things called neutrophils, a type of white blood cell that is filled with tiny sacs of enzymes to digest microorganisms.

All that results in redness, swelling, and heat at the site of the inflamed response — all of which are signs of skin inflammation. What sets off an inflammatory response, though? A wide range of things actually, from high stress levels to lack of sleep to pollution to environmental stressors to sun exposure, amongst others.

inflammation

So, what were you saying about inflammation and acne?

Acne commonly starts with a pore blockage called a comedone, which occurs when a pore is blocked with sebum and dead skin cells, attracting bacteria. Our immune system tries to kill this bacteria, prompting the inflammatory response that contributes to the red, swollen, tenderness around acne sites.

You might be thinking, Wait, I thought excess sebum causes acne? — and you’re not wrong; excess sebum does play a part in increasing the occurrence of acne because bacteria feeds on sebum. Excess sebum production can attract more bacteria, which is why it’s essential not to dry out your skin. If you’re seeing a pimple start to emerge on your face and try to “treat” it with cotton soaked in alcohol, that alcohol will only dry out your skin, which then responds by producing more sebum because it’s feeling dehydrated and thinks it must compensate for that. That excess, fresh sebum then attracts more bacteria, which could provoke an inflammatory response because your body’s immune system senses that this bacteria needs to be destroyed. See how this cycle goes?

That’s not to say that all inflammation is caused by bacteria, though. Inflammation can also be triggered by stress, lack of sleep, pollution.

And what about inflammation and eczema and rosacea?

We won’t get too deep into eczema or rosacea here because they’re both very complex skin issues that affect people differently. Inflammation is one possible way to trigger a flare-up, though, so it can be beneficial to keep skin as calm and hydrated as possible.

What can I do if my skin is feeling inflamed?

If you have active acne that’s open and leaking pus, do not apply products on top! See a doctor if you aren’t already.

In general, there are three steps you can take to help fight and prevent inflammation.

Calm skin.

Skin that’s inflamed should be soothed, so we recommend opting for products that contain soothing, calming ingredients like chamomile, camellia, oatmeal as well as centella asiatica extract, a superstar ingredient with healing properties. Switch to a gentle cleanser (if you aren’t already using one), like the Peach & Lily Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser, which is packed with chamomile, camellia, and peach extracts, or the Atoclassic Real Tonic Soothing Multi Cleanser, with root and herbal ingredients from traditional Korean medicine that cleanse and nourish skin. Both cleansers have a pH level of 5.5 to keep your skin balanced.

We recommend following your cleansing step with the Peach & Lily Good Acids Pore Toner to help balance your skin and provide light exfoliation on a daily basis (exfoliating helps keeps your pore clears) and the Ground Plan Cell Power Energy Essence with its soothing base of oatmeal extract. If you want to use a treatment, like a serum, ampoule, or oil, look for something that helps calm and nourish skin, like the Peach & Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum.

Exfoliate.

Keeping pores clear is one way to help prevent inflammation — clear pores are less likely to attract bacteria and, thus, less likely to provoke an inflammatory response. We recommend a gentle chemical exfoliant like the Peach & Lily Super Reboot Resurfacing Mask, a professional-grade mask with 10% AHA (glycolic acid) and 0.5% BHA (salicylic acid) that help sweep away dead skin cells and excess sebum, while hyaluronic acid, centella asiatica extract, and aloe help calm and soothe skin.

Hydrate skin.

When skin is hydrated, it is more likely to be healthy and better able to ward off stressors, bacteria, and other things that would do skin harm and trigger inflammation. Look for hydrators like hyaluronic acid, aloe, and glycerin, and make sure to use a moisturizer to seal all your hydration in because don’t forget — a moisturizer brings additional moisture and hydration to your skin, but its distinguishing characteristic is that it creates a barrier over your skin, preventing the hydration you layered in with your routine from evaporating out.

If you have particularly dry skin, you might want to try a thicker moisturizer, like Lagom’s Cellus Deep Moisture Cream, or you might want to try a facial oil to bring in more hydration — we like Olivarrier’s Fluid Oil Squalane or Aromatica’s Organic Rose Hip Oil. If you have normal or more oily skin, you might opt for a lighter moisturizer, like Lagom’s Cellup Mild Moisture Cream.

All About Sheet Masks.

They’re everywhere now, in Target, in CVS, etcetera, and you’ve probably heard of how all these celebrities do sheet masks every day to get their clear, glowing, radiant skin. So, are sheet masks really all they’re cracked up to be?

First things first: what do sheet masks really do?

Sheet masks do two main things: they flood your skin with hydration and other active, beneficial ingredients, and they create a barrier over your skin so that those active, beneficial ingredients can better sink into your skin. Most often soaked in an essence, the sheet mask itself prevents all the hydration packed into that essence from simply evaporating away into the air. Instead, because of that barrier, the essence ideally has nowhere to go but into your skin.

Where in your skincare routine should a sheet mask go?

Double cleanse and apply toner first, so your skin is clean, fresh, and balanced. Then apply your sheet mask. Discard the sheet mask, then pat the essence into your skin. Seal everything in with a moisturizer. If you did your sheet mask during the day, follow your moisturizer with SPF. If it’s evening, go to sleep.

There’s a lot of extra essence in my sheet mask packet. What should I do with that?

After we’ve cleansed and toned and before we remove the sheet mask from its packaging, we like to pour the extra essence onto our hands and pat it onto our skin — and then apply our sheet mask. Alternately, we’ll put our sheet mask on first, propping the package up against something so all that precious extra essence doesn’t simply drain away. After we’ve removed the sheet mask, we’ll pour the extra essence onto our hands and pat it onto our skin and neck and chest. If there’s more, we like to rub it over our hands and up our arms. There’s no reason to waste, right?

How long should I keep a sheet mask on?

15 to 20 minutes, no more than 30. Don’t wait until the sheet mask is dry to take it off, and do not keep the sheet mask on when it’s dry! When the sheet mask dries out, the dry mask will start to take moisture from your skin, so remove the sheet mask when there’s still essence on it! And definitely do not wear a sheet mask to sleep!

Is it better to do a sheet mask in the morning or evening?

Whenever works best for you! Do a sheet mask after you cleanse and tone and before you put your makeup on in the morning (if you wear makeup!), or do a sheet mask at night before you go to sleep. We recommend doing something lighter and more clarifying in the morning and opting for a mask with a heavier, nourishing essence in the evening, so you can take advantage of the reparative qualities of sleep.

How often can you do a sheet mask?

You could do a sheet mask every day. There are Koreans who do two sheet masks a day. We don’t think you have to do two sheet masks a day, just like we also don’t think you necessarily have to do a sheet mask every day. We would recommend doing sheet masks regularly, though, as often as it works for you.

If I want to do a sheet mask everyday, is there a schedule I should follow?

We recommend alternating between hydrating sheet masks and sheet masks that have more specific, targeted purposes, like anti-aging, pore-shrinking, or brightening, amongst others. Try to give your skin what it needs and what it’s asking for, and look for ingredients that target your unique skin concerns.

Does the material matter?

Sheet masks are made in all kinds of materials, from cotton to microfiber to hydrogel to plant fibers, and product developers will select different materials to work better with different essences. For instance, a heavier essence will probably cause thin cotton material to tear, so developers will often pair heavier formulas with more sturdy materials.

When it comes to us, though, the material of a sheet mask is more sensorial and comes down to personal preference. Even here at Pibuu, some of us prefer cotton masks because they feel more breathable, while others of us swear by hydrogel masks, loving how cooling hydrogel feels and how it clings so closely to our faces.

What sheet masks would you recommend?

The Shangpree Sparkling Mask is a fun, sensorial experience, with an effervescent formula that creates a layer of dense foam made of microbubbles. You can actually feel them popping against your skin in little bursts of hydration, and the mask will leave your skin feeling refreshed and bright. We recommend this particularly for dull skin.

The Tosowoong Pure Aloe Mask is hydrating and calming, perfect for use in the morning to give your skin an extra boost before starting the day, and we also like the Peach & Lily Reset Button for mornings, too. The Reset Button mask is perfect for days your skin isn’t feeling or looking its best; it will help soothe and reduce inflammation and brighten your overall tone; so you can go into your day without worrying about your skin.

The Abib Gummy Sheet Mask Milk Sticker is great for evenings, and it’s unique in that it has been soaked not in an essence but in a thicker, milky cream for extra hydration and softness. Finally, we think you can never go wrong with the Peach & Lily Original Glow sheet mask, which is packed with so many beneficial, nourishing ingredients to get your skin to its, well, original glow.

3D Fiber Lash Mascara – Bringing Out the Beauty in Your Eyes

3D Fiber Lash Mascara – Bringing Out the Beauty in Your Eyes

We are all born with a pair of beautiful eyes and there is no such thing as ugly or unattractive eyes. Even top supermodels would not have those amazing and attractive eyes if it wasn’t for the professional makeup artists constantly looking to enhance their beauty in one way or another. We tend to forget that even the simplest eyes can be turned into a gorgeous pair of attractive cat like eyes by using simple tips and tricks.  The level of attraction the eyes carry is determined by the length and thickness of the eyelashes. Eyelashes can make or break your look easily. For this reason, 3D Fiber Lash Mascara can be your best friend and the answer to all your prayers. Stick to these simple tips and tricks that can help you achieve those movie star eyes and make you stand out in the crowd:

How to Use 3D Fiber Lashes

3D Mascaras are the new trend of the year and almost every beauty blog and website is constantly posting reviews about the new-found product each day. 3D Fiber Lashes is the first product that has proved to be a worthy opponent, substitute even, to false eyelashes. The product guarantees a 300% increase in the length and volume of your eyelashes. Applying 3D fiber lash mascara is simple and easy, although it might take you some time to get used to it. The product comes in a cute container which contains two separate tubes – the transplanting gel and the natural fibers.

Tips to Apply Fiber Mascara

  1. Start with one eye. Apply a thin layer of regular mascara (regardless the brand) and immediately apply the transplanting gel to your eyes focusing on the base of your eyelashes and the outer half of your eye.
  2. Next, apply the 3D fibers with the help of the wand and watch as they lengthen and stick to the transplanting gel you had applied previously. Fibers have the tendency to get clumpy so be careful and use an eyelash comb if necessary in order to get rid of the clumps.
  3. Repeat the steps on the other eye.
  4. After you have applied a thin coat of regular mascara, a single coat of the transplanting gel followed by the fibers on both eyes, wait for your eyes to dry out then follow up with a second coat of the transplanting gel only.
  5. Check your eyes to see if you have missed any spots and if you find any, fill them up with the transplanting gel and fibers. Once you get the hang of it and master the application technique, you will be able to apply perfect coats of the two tubes.

Benefits:

  • More affordable and budget-friendly than false eyelashes and most drugstore mascaras.
  • Adds 300% more volume and length than false eyelashes and mascaras.
  • Can act as an alternative to eyelash extensions as well.
  • Easy to remove with the use of normal makeup cleanser.
  • Are natural looking and do not give the slightest hint of a fake look.

If you prefer to have natural looking eyelashes then fake eyelashes are definitely not the right choice for you since it is super easy to tell the difference between fake plastic eyelashes and naturally beautiful eyelashes. One more disappointment that fake eyelashes bring with them is that anyone with sensitive skin cannot use them due to the irritation and redness they cause to the skin. Fake eyelashes tend to make the skin itchy as well and if they are not applied properly, they begin to uproot.

Take a second and begin to re-apply transplanting gel to your eyelashes in order to seal the fibers, moving them to the tip of your lashes.
  3. Repeat the same procedure on the other eye.

4 Ways To Prep Your Skin For A Workout To Prevent Acne

This is for all the yoga babes and gym bunnies out there who enjoy regular sweat sessions. Don’t neglect skincare when you work out or you will have to deal with a myriad of problems like pimples, rashes and body acne. All it takes is a few simple steps so that not only does your body feel great, but your skin does, too.

Ditch the makeup

While this one’s pretty much an obvious one, we’re just going to go ahead and say it again, remove all traces of your makeup before working out. Whether it’s a hint of mascara or a full face of foundation and the works, it’s essential to have a makeup-free face when working out. Otherwise the sweat will mingle with the product and clog your pores.

Cleanse, cleanse, cleanse

A clean face is the best you can do for your skin while working out. So once all your makeup is off, use your go-to cleanser to get rid of all the dirt and impurities clogging up your skin. And if your skin is sensitive or if you’re a regular skincare fiend, you can even go in for a mild toner.

Keep it moisturised

Since your body loses water while working out, it’s extremely important for us to hydrate from inside and out. An oil-free, lightweight moisturiser is key to keeping your skin hydrated during a workout. And if you’re exercising outdoors, don’t forget to layer sunscreen over your moisturiser or pick one which has SPF in it.

Hands Off

Now while you’re working out, make sure not to touch your face too much, especially if you’re handling equipment, as it’s a sure shot way of passing on bacteria and impurities. Carry alcohol-free wipes and a clean, soft towel to help get rid of the sweat and any buildup during your workout.
